1998年创立业界先驱设计品牌CSD·DESIGN，有着博物馆、美术馆的设计经历，二十多年见证了国内室内设计行业的萌发、兴起、再到百花齐放。
张灿老师的作品中不乏探索性，一次次追寻原创设计的精髓。他认为的原创不是一拍脑门就来，它有着与人的联系、与材料和设计之间的共鸣和相辅相成。他聊到与老友之间的交流："我们没有材料不一定做得出好的东西来，希望成都有个非常好的土壤，让设计的大树茁壮成长。"
